Toe patient Hannu
Hannu's V toe had to be amputated on Friday, July 24th; he accidentally broke his toe and as the toe and the very
sore ligaments didn't heal the expected way, the best choice for the recovery of the young and speedy dog was to amputate the toe.
On Saturday 25th we had our first check visit at the vet and the wound was very neat and healing had begun well.
Hannu is now on a long sick leave and will need rehabilitation and physiotherapy.
Trip to the Very Special Show in Jels, Denmark, July 14th-18th
Our trip to the Very Special Show was truly Very Special; Dotty's results in the show rings were superb. We visited also the town of Flensburg in Germany. We added some pictures from the VSS Camp, happenings, Jels and Flensburg in the photo gallery.

Soolo's daughter, Dotty's sister Houndmaster Finnish Gold, "Finn", has become Australian Champion in April. Finn is owned by her breeder Sue Freshwater.
Moving to Lahti city We will move to Lahti in June. Both the house and property will be bigger than the ones we own now. The most challenging thing of all will be the fencing of the property.

Trewelyn Gwenella and her breeder made a successful mating visit to Hannu during the weekend.
Hannu and Nelly's puppies are expected to be born at kennel Trewelyn during Easter.

Six out of eight D pups met each other at our place and they had a lot of fun!

At home again, November 7th After being two days at the hospital Minna is at home again. The prolapse operation went well and the patient is feeling a lot better than before the operation. Everything has to be taken very easy on the six weeks sick leave.
Back operation ahead, October 24th Minna has intervertebral disc prolapse and must be therefore operated within two-three weeks. She had the same of kind of prolapse less than a year ago and that caused the paralysis of her left foot.

VSS 2007 in Vildbjerg, Denmark
We made a quick visit to the Very Special Show of the Danish Beagle Club. About 190 Beagles were entered both days. Friday's best Beagles were chosen by Mr. Gavin Robertson from Great-Britain. The best Beagles of the VSS on Saturday were chosen by the breed specialist, Ms. Leanne Coffey from Australia (Beagelee Beagles).
Due to a busy schedule our trip was hard but very rewarding. Thanks to Eeva, Marjukka and the new Dutch acquaintances for the nice fellowship! Some VSS photos have been added in the photo gallery.
